In his first few days as an official member of the San Antonio Spurs, Victor Wembanyama was already picking up valuable lessons from NBA legends.
The 7-foot-4 center had an exclusive dinner on Friday night with several Spurs franchise royalty, which included Sean Elliott, David Robinson, Manu Ginobili, and Tim Duncan.
Wembanyama posted a picture of the group on Saturday, saying that he "couldn't ask for better role models."
It is worth noting that the 7-foot-1 Robinson and the 6-foot-11 Duncan were once dubbed "Twin Towers" during their playing days together, but Wembanyama dwarfed them in the picture.
Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich was reportedly also with the group but did not appear in the photo.
Victor Wembanyama Learned More in Dinner Than His Whole Life
During the Spurs' "Meet the Rookies" news conference last Saturday, the 19-year-old phenom was asked about the dinner with the Spurs legends on Friday.
Wembanyama mentioned that he learned more about the NBA at the sit-down than his whole life before that.
"It's so comforting to see that these people who are so important to the city of San Antonio and to the franchise are such kind people, and generous... I feel like they've already started to take great care of me. It's just so comforting to be in that position," he added.
Wembanyama also wore his full Spurs uniform for the first time and practiced a little bit at the AT&T Center court.
