The San Antonio Spurs, who hold the coveted 1st overall pick in the upcoming NBA Draft, will surely pick French prodigy Victor Wembanyama.
The Spurs are set to join the California Classic Summer League on July 3 and 5, hosted by the Sacramento Kings in their home arena, Golden 1 Center.
The California-based summer tournament will precede the NBA's own NBA 2K24 Summer League 2023, which is held in Las Vegas. It is usually more star-studded and draws larger crowds.
The Nevada-based tournament will be held from July 7 to 17. In this case, the 7-foot-4 prodigy could make his Summer League debut in Sacramento instead of the NBA's official summer league in Las Vegas.

Adam Silver on Wembanyama Summer League Debut
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver shared his thoughts on Wembanyama's summer league debut, saying that all summer leagues are NBA summer leagues, and he is very supportive of the Sacramento edition of the tournament.
"I remember when [Kings owner Vivek Ranadive] first came to the league and said this [summer league] was something he wanted to do. I said, 'As long as you have enough other teams who support it and players who want to play in it, it's a good thing,'" Silver added.
The Charlotte Hornets, who hold the 2nd overall pick in the upcoming draft, will also play in the California Classic Summer League.
Interestingly enough, the Spurs and the Hornets are set to play against each other on the summer league's opening day on July 3, giving fans a chance to see the future 1st and 2nd overall picks battling against each other.
