NBA Commissioner Adam Silver revealed that the NBA and NBPA's investigation of troubled Grizzlies star Ja Morant, who flashed a firearm on Instagram Live for the second time in early May, is nearly done.

However, the NBA top brass did not give any details on the verdict yet to avoid distraction from the current NBA Finals between the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat.

"We've uncovered a fair amount of additional information. We probably could have brought it to a head now, but we've made the decision that it would be unfair to these players and these teams to announce that decision in the middle of this series," Silver said.

Silver added that he does not think that they know yet what it will take to change the 23-year-old's behavior.

For the first offense, the league suspended Morant for eight games without pay, and he reportedly entered a counseling program in Florida.

The Memphis Grizzlies organization suspended their electrifying guard immediately in light of the second gun incident.

Morant's punishment this time is expected to be harsher, with a lengthy suspension and hefty financial implications a real possibility.

Despite the incident, sportswear giant Nike continued with the scheduled release of the Grizzlies star's signature shoe in the "Hunger" colorway, which sold out within minutes.
