Manchester City lifted their third consecutive Premier League trophy at the roaring Etihad Stadium following a 1-0 victory over Chelsea, in which City used most of their bench players for a run.

The blue side of Manchester was confirmed champions earlier that day after Arsenal suffered a 1-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest.

Manchester City's season was nothing short of brilliant, winning their fifth league title in six seasons in style. They cemented their status as English football royalty, with pillars Liverpool and Manchester United being the only ones able to do the feat before them.

Manchester City Sets Multiple Records

City joined Huddersfield Town, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United (twice) as the teams to win the English top-flight title for three consecutive seasons.

The club began its season with the signing of arguably the world's best young talent, Erling Haaland. The Norwegian was subject to interest from multiple teams, but City came out on top.

The 22-year-old lived up to the hype, scoring a brace in his Premier League debut against West Ham United. In his first month playing in the league, he scored two hat-tricks. He was unanimously named player of the month.

Haaland went on to break numerous goalscoring records, most notably the most goals scored by a Premier League player in a season, with 36.

The job is not done for Manchester City, as they have a treble in sight. They are looking to strengthen their domestic hold with a win in the FA Cup final against arch-rivals Manchester United and achieve European glory over Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League final.
