Francis Ngannou has responded strongly to UFC President Dana White's comments regarding his departure from the organization. The former UFC heavyweight champion, who recently signed with the Professional Fighters League (PFL), addressed each point made by White in a comprehensive rebuttal.

Ngannou immediately dismissed White's claim that he had been released from the UFC, clarifying that his departure resulted from his previous contract expiring in December 2022 rather than being released by the promotion.

Francis Ngannou is not Avoiding a Fight

The former UFC champ also refuted White's statement that he was avoiding a fight with current heavyweight champion Jon Jones due to a fear of taking risks. Ngannou highlighted Jones' quick victory over Ciryl Gane, emphasizing that he had fought and defeated Gane with a severe knee injury to unify the heavyweight title at UFC 270.

Ngannou also contested White's assertion about his schedule during his UFC tenure, pointing out extended periods of inactivity that he attributed to White's attempts to manipulate his contract negotiations and sideline him when he declined to sign a new deal.

Ngannou concluded his response with a direct message to White, expressing his satisfaction with his PFL deal, which provides fair compensation and respect. He questioned why White seemed opposed to his freedom and happiness.

In addition to securing a multi-fight contract starting in 2024, Ngannou's PFL agreement grants him a position on the promotion's board of directors, a management role in PFL Africa, the ability to acquire personal sponsors, and the opportunity to pursue a boxing match. Ngannou reiterated his desire for a showdown with Tyson Fury, as the heavyweight boxing champion had recently expressed interest in facing Jones on social media.

Ngannou ended his statement by challenging White and Jones to make the fight happen, suggesting they reach out to PFL CEO Pete Murray, indicating his willingness to face Jones anytime, anywhere.
