New details about Matt Araiza's gang rape allegations contain evidence that could acquit the Ex-Bills punter.

A 200-page transcript of a meeting between prosecutors and the girl, who was 17 years old at the time of the alleged assault, and her lawyer disclosed that Araiza was not on the scene when the assault commenced.

Further Evidence Could Clear Matt Araiza

Yahoo! Sports quoted deputy district attorney Trisha Amador explaining to the victim, "He wasn't even at the party anymore." Amador added, "All I know is that at that point, suspect Araiza is gone from the party."

According to the evidence, the district attorney concluded that Araiza had left the party at 12:30 A.M., an hour before the alleged gang rape occurred.

After being drafted in the sixth round by the Buffalo Bills in the 2022 NFL Draft, the 22-year-old was named as the team's starting punter following the release of Matt Haack.

He played for two preseason games against the Colts and Broncos before being benched in the preseason finale vs. the Panthers after the allegations went public.

A few days after getting the starting job, the Bills released Araiza from the team.

Since then, no charges have been filed against Araiza. He was cleared by the San Diego District Attorney's Office last December following an analysis of all evidence.

Nicknamed the "Punt God," Matt Araiza played for three seasons at San Diego State before being drafted. He remains a free agent.
