In Tuesday's play-in, the Los Angeles Lakers secured the seventh seed in the Western Conference by beating the Minnesota Timberwolves 108-102 in an exciting overtime showdown.

Despite trailing by a significant margin in the second half, the Lakers staged an impressive comeback to force the game into overtime. In the dying seconds of regulation time, Dennis Schroder sank a clutch three-pointer to give the Lakers the lead, only for Anthony Davis to commit a foul on Mike Conley, who hit all three free throws to tie the game and force overtime. Fortunately, the Lakers managed to come out on top in the extra period, rendering the foul irrelevant.

James Blamed Davis in Jest

LeBron James was in top form, leading the Lakers with 30 points, 6 assists, and 10 rebounds. He also made a steal and two blocks on the defensive end.

In a post-game interview with Allie LaForce of the NBA on TNT, James made a playful jab at Davis, jokingly blaming him for messing up the potential game-winner. Davis took the joke in good spirits and apologized for his mistake.

James said in jest, "It's unfortunate that A.D. had a brain fart and messed his game-winner up." Davis then entered and said, "I messed his game-winner up. I apologize, I definitely apologize." That banter between James and Davis quickly went viral on Twitter.

With this win, the Lakers will now move on to face the Memphis Grizzlies, led by rising star Ja Morant, in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. Game 1 of the series will take place in Memphis on Sunday afternoon. James, who has won four NBA championships, is in his 20th season in the league and his fifth with the Lakers.
