Bernie Sanders memes are infectious

In just 24 hours after the United States Presidential Inauguration, Bernie Sanders memes were feasted all over the internet. The social media went lively as the 79-year-old politician spread a lot of laughter to the sports world.

Sanders, who wore a Burton parka coat paired with a face mask and a couple of mittens, graced the sportspeople with a different kind of vibe and joy which were all contagious to everyone who sees.

The iconic picture of Sanders sitting on a chair while cross-legged is an early candidate for this year's most popular memes, according to Bleacher Report.

Sanders' memes have reached even the professional athletes, as every player has a version of the "sitting Bernie" even in the most unexpected locations.

Here are some of Bernie's image that became instant memes in the sports world:

The Staples Center seemed to be in touch with Bernie, but wait, he's untouchable in the courtside.

Even the Canadian Curling organization joined the Sanders meme parade on Twitter. Most likely, it appears that Bernie gets bored in waiting for the curling team at the very end of the smooth floor.

Who would have thought that Bernie Sanders can also enter inside a baseball field? For a few seconds, let's consider a brief moment of silence for someone who is sleeping beside the Miami Marlins.

While the world took the opportunity to spread positivity thru Bernie's memes, Sanders noticed how his infamous photo became a blockbuster hit overnight. In a report by Hollywood Reporter, Bernie is now starting to respond to his memes that caught everyone on surprise - and fun.

"I was just sitting there trying to keep warm, trying to pay attention to what was going on," Sanders said on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Thursday when asked about his response.

If the previous memes are still not enough, here are the others:

Do you assume that Bernie Sanders won't appear in the Dunk Contest? Now you won't.

Three-time Super Bowl champion Shannon Sharpe also has an entry for the Bernie memes. Did he enjoy the inauguration? Look at this expression.

On Wednesday, the Cleveland Cavaliers nailed a 147-135 double-overtime win over the Brooklyn Nets. With Collin Sexton's All-Start performance, the debut of the Brooklyn Nets' new "Big 3" of James Harden, Kevin Durant, and now-returning Kyrie Irving was immediately spoiled.

For Andre Drummond, the Cleveland Cavaliers' starting center who scored 13 points, seven rebounds, and three assists, nothing could beat a perfect meme after a fresh win over a tough East team, the Yard Barker reported. Bernie Sanders seems to be listening to Cavs' head coach J.B. Bickerstaff during the time out.

Bernie gave us a lot of time to laugh away our worries and sadness - even for a short period. Truly, his memes will become 2021's early-bird contender for the annual memes recognition.
