Robert Lewandowski and Lucy Bronze were awarded as the Best FIFA Football Players for 2020.
The awarding for the Best FIFA Football Players 2020 stunned fans with its results as Bayern Munich forward Lewandowski bested two of the greatest football players, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, when he was declared as the Best FIFA Men's Player of the Year.
The Polish striker, who is the Poland national team captain in football, dethroned the 2019 Best FIFA Men's Player Lionel Messi. Last year's FIFA competition proved how celestial Robert Lewandowski was in his finishes and touches.
Lewandowski kicked a total of 55 goals last season to lead Bayern Munich to a stellar treble record. He knew how far he improved since the start after he nearly grabbed the Ballon d'Or award for this year.
The award had been far from his reach after the pandemic struck the globe.
Robert Lewandowski did not waver, although the pandemic limited his potential. He came back for the 2019-2020 season, only to bolster his campaign en route to the most coveted crown for footballers.
In 64 games, Robert Lewandowski racked up 73 goals. His record exceeded over 22 goals for any men player from Europe's top five leagues: Ligue 1, Serie A, Bundesliga, La Liga, and Premier League.

The eight-time Polish Player of the Year dedicated his award to his family, friends, coach, and Bayern squad. He described his winning as an 'incredible' feeling.
"If you win such an award and share that title with Messi and Ronaldo, that is unbelievable and it means so much to me. A long time ago, I remember I was longing for something like this and now I can win such an award," the 2015 FFHS World's Top Goal Scorer added.
On the other hand, Lucy Bronze of Manchester City became the first defender who bagged the Best FIFA Women's Player of the Year award.
Lucy Bronze appeared in 29 games for the Olympique Lyonnais in 2019. She led Lyons to its seventh UEFA Championship title before heading to England for the 2020-2021 season.
Bronze emerged as the victor of the annual player award over Lyon's Wendie Renard and Chelsea's Pernille Harder.
"I don't think I have the words right now to explain how I am feeling. If there is anything 2020 has taught us it is to appreciate every moment you have, never look too far ahead and live in the here and now," Bronze said in a video call.
Jurgen Klopp grabbed his Best Men's Coach of the Year award, with Liverpool on the top of the league in 2019, for the first time after 30 years. He ousted Bayern Munich coach Hans-Dieter Flick and Leeds United coach Marcelo Bielsa for the accolade.
Klopp notched 99 club-record points despite many rooting for Flick's multi-championship titles with Bayern in German Cups, UEFA Super Cup, Champions League, and Bundesliga last year.
Dutch head coach Sarina Wiegman got the Best Women's Coach who put the Netherlands national team on top in the 2019 World Cup. Her team sailed to a 10-game unstained streak.
Manuel Neuer of Bayern Munich capped the Best Men's Goalkeeper. Sarah Bouhaddi of Lyons topped the Best Women's Goalkeeper.
This year's award covered the achievement from July 20, 2019, to October 7, 2020. The voting panel was composed of national team coaches, team captains, fans, and 200 media correspondents.
The voting was split among members of the panel.
