After the Auburn Tigers are finished trying to enhance their BCS title bid chops against Alabama in the afternoon, the No. 5 Missouri Tigers (10-1, 6-1) will try to keep their own championship hopes alive against Johnny Manziel and the No. 21 ranked Texas A&M Aggies (8-3, 4-3). Missouri cannot complete a title push without emerging from this encounter with Johnny Football victorious; a loss with a South Carolina win will leave them in a tie atop the SEC East, with the Gamecocks advancing because of a head-to-head win with Missouri.

"We're excited about playing this game," coach Gary Pinkel said. "We worked real hard to get to this position. You know what, you compete for a championship, you've got to beat good people."

The Aggies will be trying to recover from a tough 34-10 loss to LSU in which Manziel uncharacteristically struggled. "It wasn't fun to get beat like that," Manziel said. "We will see how we handle adversity. This team with a bunch of young guys -- we just have to see how they bounce back."

Manziel is still a leading candidate to bring home a second straight Heisman Trophy; he has thrown for 3,537 yards and 32 touchdowns this year, while running for 665 yards and eight scores.

"He's such a great player," Pinkel said. "If you watch him game in and game out, then you see the consistency on how he plays and the way he does it. You have to contain him the best you can, and you have to score points on offense. There is nothing magic about this."

Manziel might need magic to win on the road today; Missouri's defense enters play giving up just 19.3 points per game on average.
