The Major League Baseball (MLB) announced the official list of players who will complete the All-MLB Team during the virtual Winter Meeting last December 9.
The pandemic has become a big challenge to the MLB since games were adjusted from their designated schedules.
It was during World War II when the All-MLB was first stopped. This time, the MLB is now ready to arrange the star-studded battle of the greatest and the most hardworking players in the league.
The voting came from both the fans and a panel of select experts.
Like other sports leagues such as the NFL and the NBA, the All-MLB team will be categorized into two groups.
In MLB, the selected players will be grouped in the first and second teams. Each team will consist of a first baseman, second baseman, third baseman, catcher, shortstop, designated hitter, five starting pitchers, three outfielders, and two relievers.
Making the cut for the first team are National League MVP Freddie Freeman with Cy Young-awardee Shane Bieber and American League Batting champion DJ LeMahieu.

American League MVP Jose Abreu, on the other hand, will lead the second team along with the 2018 National League Rookie of the Year Ronald Acuna Jr. and Silver Slugger awardee J.T. Realmuto.
Three-time All-Star Gerrit Cole and National League 2014 MVP Clayton Kershaw are also joining the second team.
Mike Trout, an eight-time All-Star and three-time MVP, will be a repeater for the first team.
Other honorable mentions are Realmuto, Cole, 2020 Cy Young Award finalist Jacob deGrom, and Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian Awardee Nelson Cruz. They joined the first team in 2019.
Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Devin Williams occupied the spot for the second-team reliever. It was earlier rumored that Williams was snubbed in the All-MLB first team despite winning the National League Rookie of the Year award. He is the only rookie to be joining the upcoming event.
Meanwhile, LeMahieu, Realmuto, Cruz, Trevor Bauer, Liam Hendriks, Marcell Ozuna, and Brad Hand will look at the All-MLB as an opportunity to prove their worth for their free-agency predicament.
