Kansas City Chiefs shot down Baltimore Ravens with a 34-20 final score last Monday.

Kansas' quarterback Patrick Mahomes made many impressive plays, allowing the team to gain more than a ten-point lead. He contributed four touchdowns and plenty of yard throws, making the defending Super Bowl champion emerge victoriously.

Thanks to Mahomes' astounding plays, the Chiefs broke the Ravens' winning streak of 14 wins while maintaining their own 12 games already. "They don't give that guy a half-billion dollars for no reason. He just made play after play. You've got to give him respect," Ravens defensive tackle Calais Campbell respectfully said about the opposing team's star player. It is reported that Mahomes got a $503 million 10-year deal with the Chiefs, and it looks like he sure earned it.

The Chiefs quarterback was hard to stop, giving the team a top score of 27-10 in the halftime alone. But Mahomes believes it was a team effort, and he acknowledged them by saying: "The plays we ran, we got in the right situations. I thought guys executed at a very high level on those plays."

Ravens' quarterback Lamar Jackson only had one word to describe the Chiefs' Super Bowl MVP: "Outstanding."

Around 250 people were on scattered seats to watch the game. Most of them family, personnel, and team members of Ravens. The audience was definitely livelier than the cardboard cutouts utilized to make the field look less empty.

Chiefs went home without suffering many injuries except cornerback L'Jarius Sneed, who injured his collarbone during the third quarter. Defensive end Alex Okafor and offensive guard Andrew Wylie were inactive, with Wylie going to the hospital due to stomach problems but was later okay.

During the national anthem, some members of the Ravens showed protest for the social injustice in the country by kneeling. Many consider this a call for political change, mainly because the election is a mere month away. Still, some stood while others merely sat on the beach.
