Erstwhile NBA superstar Charles Oakley was arrested on Saturday for allegedly cheating on a gambling session at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

The former New York Knicks star was detained in the Clark County Detention Center at around 5:30 p.m. Officials from the Nevada Gaming Board said that Oakley is charged with a Class B felony.

Not The First Time For Oakley
It wasn't the first time for Oakley to be brought in handcuffs, as the former NBA All-Star was arrested in a Knicks game last year. It can be recalled that Oakley got in a fight with security guards after he tried to go after Knicks owner James Dolan. The game had to be paused for a while, as Oakley was dragged out of the Madison Square Garden.
Oakley was charged with three counts of assault for his fight with the security guards and one for criminal trespassing, The charges were dropped earlier this year after Oakley agreed on a plea deal, but Dolan has imposed a lifetime ban on the former from entering the Madison Square Garden. Oakley has filed defamation and libel charges against Dolan, the Madison Square Garden, and the MSG Networks thereafter.
The 6-foot-8 Oakley played for the Knicks from 1989 and 1998 wherein he engaged in numerous battles with Michael Jordan in the Eastern Conference. He has also played for the Chicago Bulls, Toronto Raptors, Washington Wizards, and Houston Rockets. Overall, Oakley has played in the NBA for almost two decades.
During his career, the ninth overall pick of the 1985 NBA Draft posted incredible numbers of 9.7 points and 9.5 rebounds per contest. Currently, he serves as a coach of the Killer 3s in the Big 3 basketball league.
