Dwyane Wade Free Agency: D-Wade Wants To Play Entire Career With Miami Heat? [VIDEO]

Dwyane Wade says he envisions spending his entire NBA career in South Beach and with the Miami Heat.

Hours after Kobe Bryant signed a two-year extension with the L.A. Lakers that will almost assuredly result in him spending his entire NBA run as a Laker, Wade told the Florida Sun-Sentinel that move strengthens his desire to want to finish his career in a similar fashion.

"I've got a long way to go," Wade told The Sentinel. "It's great for a guy like [Bryant]. You feel proud obviously to be able to say that. It doesn't happen for everyone. But Kobe will always be forever looked at as a Laker and loved so much."

While he stresses anything can happen and can become a free agent next summer, Wade admits he began thinking about being a Heat lifer the moment he first hit South Beach.

"That's something that I strived for, to hopefully become one of those guys," Wade said of the prospect of spending his whole career in one uniform. "It's not many. I've got years left to go but I would love to be one of those."

Indeed, the years in Miami have been kind to Wade, now a three-time career champ, including earning back-to-back titles over the last two seasons with LeBron James. For his career, the perennial All-Star has averaged 24.7 points and 6.1 assists.
