One of the names that keeps popping up for a return to the squared circle as the WWE prepares for its historic WrestleMania 30 pay-per-view event on April 6 in New Orleans has been Bill Goldberg. Despite the grappler publicly denying a return, heavy speculation about a Goldberg vs. Ryback match at the event has circulated and Ryback himself said he wants to face the former World Champion.

Ryback has had fans jeer "Goldberg" chants in his direction as a way for fans to mock him as he is perceived as a Bill Goldberg "rip off," and rumors have swirled that perhaps Ryback and Goldberg will meet at the WWE's WrestleMania 30 this spring. Ryback was recently on the Felger & Mazz Radio Show to promote the WWE's Survivor Series pay-per-view and spoke about Goldberg.

"I have a great amount of respect for Bill Goldberg, but I'm not going to beat around the bush and say I wanna be best friends with the guy," he said on the radio show, according to CBS. "I'd like to face him in the ring."

Ryback took it one step further, saying he would like to stare across the ring and see Bill Goldberg staring back at him in a match at the WWE's biggest show of the year.

"I've heard him say he's not happy with comments I've made about him, if he has a problem with it let's settle it at WrestleMania," he told the show, according to CBS.

Ryback got into some trouble with WWE management after he started doing Goldberg's moves on the company's European tour, where he implemented the Jack Hammer and the Spear into his arsenal without the permission of upper management. The moves also gave more credence to the rumors that Goldberg may return.

Reports last week indicated that the WWE was still interested in signing Goldberg, along with Steve "Sting" Borden for its biggest show of all-time. Goldberg last appeared at a WrestleMania 10 years ago in the 20th installment in an infamous match with Brock Lesnar, and didn't seem open to a return when fans asked him about it on his Twitter account.

When a fan asked Goldberg on his Twitter account if he and Sting would be returning at the event, Goldberg said "Sting, maybe...Me not likely" in response to the question. Reports from The Wrestling Observer indicated that if the WWE's efforts to sign Goldberg fall flat, Ryback's backup opponent is slated to be The Big Show.

If Ryback is involved in WrestleMania 30, there is guaranteed to be "Goldberg" chants throughout the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, but will it be to mock Ryback as he takes on The Big Show or to cheer on Goldberg as he tries to take out Ryback in a high-profile match on the card?
