LG G6 might not yet be officially available in the United States, but that doesn't stop the South Korean tech giant from releasing new editions of the device in its home country. LG announced that it will release the G6 Black Edition, which features an all-black front and will be different from the regular version.

The black color option of the device already features black bezels, but this new color option is for users who would prefer a more colorful back as well. This model is apparently released exclusively via South Korean carrier KT; similar to the usual LG G6.

The regular LG G6 is currently available in three color variants including Mystic White, Astro Black, and Ice Platinum. The device already offered a black color variant, nonetheless, unlike the Astro Black, the LG G6 Black Edition features a black front panel combined with a back panel painted either in Mystic White or Ice Platinum.

The LG G6 is the only variant boasting a dual color scheme. The LG G6 Black Edition still features the same hardware as of standard model which includes a 5.7-inch FullVision IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2880 x 1440 in 18:9 aspect ratios. Device has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC and Adreno 530 graphics chip with 4 GB of RAM, as per Droid Report.

According to Phone Arena, the LG G6 Black Edition will only be available with 64GB, unlike the regular models that have 32 GB and 64 GB of memory. Other specifications LG G5 Black Edition includes are the dual camera setup consisting of two 13 MP rear facing sensor, a fingerprint recognition embedded on the back, and a front-facing 5 MP unit. The G6 black edition will run in an Android 7.0 Nougat and carries a non-removable 3,000mAh Li-Po battery.

LG has also announced that they will give away 1,000 LG Watch Sport devices for free to new G6 buyers but, again, in South Korea only. The G6 Black Edition will be sold for the same price as the regular device, which is also a welcome step.
