The UFC and Nate Diaz has always had a tumultuous relationship. Diaz is known for his brash no-nonsense attitude where his interviews and media appearance are always explicit and may drive fans away. The UFC has sometimes tried to shun Nate Diaz because of his attitude. But when it comes to fighting, there's no denying that the UFC and Diaz could make amends. Diaz has proven to be a needle mover that UFC seems reluctant to use. The latest in their drama comes from Diaz's latest comments.

The drama started when UFC made a story about Nate Diaz turning down fights. According to MMA Mania, Dana White said the company has been offering Diaz several fights to which the fighter allegedly refused. The report states that the younger Diaz was offered a fight against the former lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez.

But as we all know, Eddie will now be fighting Dustin Poirier at UFC 211 which proves White's notion of Nate Diaz turning down fights. The president then suggests that Diaz may be waiting for a Conor McGregor fight. He also mentions that Conor has unlimited potential fights whereas Nate has a limited amount that would generate the fighter's preferred money.

However, in typical Nate Diaz, he rejects the story and rips Dana White. According to Joe as soon as Diaz got word of Dana's comments through teammate Jake Shields and Urijah Faber, Diaz blasts Dana in an explicitly filled tweet of his own. Diaz claims he is tired of the UFC and Dana of making stories and painting him as a fighter that rejects several offered fights. He says that the only fight that was offered to him was the one he laughed at. It is assumed that the fight Diaz mentioned was the Eddie Alvarez fight.

While it seems that Nate Diaz may be waiting for a bigger money fight, the UFC should take action and take the opportunity to let Diaz fight whomever he wants. He's already proven to be a huge draw after his bouts with McGregor. For now, the best fight for Diaz and the UFC is against Tony Ferguson for the Interim Lightweight title.
