It has been six weeks since Tom Brady and the New England Patriots won their fifth Super Bowl championship by defeating the Atlanta Falcons. Six weeks also passed since Brady's Super Bowl jersey was stolen by someone in the Patriots locker room.

According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the Patriots are hoping that the missing Tom Brady jersey case will end soon. However, there are still no relevant updates on the situation and the status of the investigation is unknown.

"We know that there are many agencies working on it and I think we are all hopefully optimistic that it will get resolved soon," Patriots spokesman Stacey James told Florio via email.

Florio also noted that the potential suspect or suspects in the missing Tom Brady jersey is small and they had plenty of chances to return it without getting caught. The jersey memorabilia is reportedly worth $500,000 but it will be very difficult to sell it in the black market because it is a stolen item and if caught, they could face jail time.

New York Daily News reported last week that the Houston Police Department is still investigating the missing Tom Brady Super Bowl jersey case. The Texas Rangers law enforcement, Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and the NRG Stadium Security are also still on the case but no updates have been released.

Tom Brady listed possible suspects in the theft on Instagram and it includes Patriots teammate Julian Edelman and Super Bowl LI halftime performer Lady Gaga, per CBS Sports. Other fictional characters like Gollum, Pyat Pree, Prison Mike, The O'Doyle Family, Gary Oak and Swiper The Fox are also suspects.

But since the stolen jersey is not getting returned anytime soon, the Patriots and Tom Brady will focus on next season. They are in a position to achieve a perfect season and win their sixth Super Bowl title after all the moves they made this offseason.
