Jeremy Lin was way short of pace and was not feeling in his shots for the first three quarters of Brooklyn Nets game against New York Knicks on Sunday night. However, he finished the game quite strongly to lead the Nets to a win over his former team Knicks, having not played at home since All-Star Break.

With this win, Nets managed to end a poor eight-game road trip with a 2-6 record and they were looking forward to playing their first home game in three weeks. Jeremy Lin struggled on the field, but his strong finish and others playing well helped Nets winning with 120-112 margin.

Brook Lopez scored 25 points for the Nets in that game, six other players also reached double figures for the game. It was a total team effort by Brooklyn, but Lin's effect in the last quarter made the telling difference. Apparently, he scored 9 of his 13 points in the last quarter. He completely took over the game and helped Nets beating Knicks.

The 28-year old point guard Lin ended with 13 points, four rebounds and five assists while shooting just 21.4% from the field. However, he turned the screws in the fourth quarter and made the difference in last five minutes of a gruelling contest.

Lin hit a three-pointer to keep Knicks away in score, while also drawing Kristaps Porzingis' sixth foul in the game. It came as a vital ploy in the game as Knicks lost their second-best player by that. Lin also helped Carmelo Anthony with one play to stop Knicks.

After the game, Lin was satisfied with the game as he was very determined to help Nets get their 13th victory for this season. He joked that 8-game road trip is still in his minds. He said he kept playing even though he was not at his best in first two to three quarters, although he redeemed himself in the final and decisive quarter.
