Sami Zayn No Longer Getting Pushed on Monday Night Raw; Should He Join SmackDown Live?

The WWE is making changes to the babyface scene on Monday Night Raw heading into WrestleMania 33. According to the latest rumors, Sami Zayn is expected to get demoted and he will no longer get pushed on television. Should the WWE make him a SmackDown Live superstar?

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that the Sami Zayn's push is going to be short-lived because of recent events. Chris Jericho just turned face and he will stick to the WWE for a longer time while Finn Balor is now cleared to return after six months of recovery from a shoulder injury, per What Culture.

Sami Zayn received a good push atop the Raw main card wherein he defeated Seth Rollins to earn a spot in the 2017 Royal Rumble. He also had a good feud with Braun Strowman before getting thrown into a new one against Samoa Joe.

Meltzer noted that Zayn was put in the position because of Rollins' knee injury and Roman Reigns is really a babyface in the eyes of many fans. But now that Jericho and Balor are back, Zayn's time atop the main card is over.

However, should the WWE utilize their powers to put Sami Zayn to SmackDown Live? According to Comicbook.com, "The Underdog From The Underground" should have been traded to SmackDown where he will be utilized much better.

SmackDown Live will surely miss John Cena and the main event babyfaces on the blue brand are going to be thin. Sami Zayn adds a new dynamic to SmackDown Live and he will surely have great matches with A.J. Styles, Baron Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, Dean Ambrose and The Miz.

In an interview with Planeta Wrestling, Sami Zayn does not really care about the show he is assigned. He just loves how fans want him to move from Raw to SmackDown.

"If I was on SmackDown, then SmackDown would be the show. That's just the way my brain has always kind of worked. But if you prefer SmackDown that's fine, just thank you for the support either way," Zayn said, via Wrestling Inc.
