Many fans are wondering which match will main event WrestleMania 33 on April 2 at the Camping World Stadium in Orland, Florida. The latest rumors have revealed that Bill Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar is expected to close the WWE's biggest show of the year.
According to Cageside Seats, the current plan is for Goldberg vs. Lesnar for the WWE Universal championship to main event WrestleMania 33. It might have come down to that match and Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton for the WWE title.
But since Goldberg and Lesnar have the bigger names, they get to end WrestleMania 33 despite being part-time WWE superstars. Their match is not expected to be a squash match and it could last from five to seven minutes of action.
The WWE has been building towards the match since Bill Goldberg returned at Survivor Series. He squashed Brock Lesnar in just one minute and 26 seconds. He also eliminated "The Beast" with ease at the Royal Rumble match.
Goldberg then went on to win the WWE universal championship from Kevin Owens at Fastlane. He also squashed KO in just 22 seconds after Chris Jericho came out and distracted his former best friend out his title.
WrestleMania 33 will reportedly run for seven hours on April 2 and the match card is going to be stacked. Besides Goldberg vs. Lesnar and Wyatt vs. Orton, Roman Reigns vs. The Undertaker could have been a good way to end the event.
The Undertaker is rumored to be undergoing full hip replacement surgery after WrestleMania 33 and it could officially end his career, per Ringside News. Nevertheless, the WWE is going with the biggest money match in Bill Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar.
Even though a lot of hardcore fans are unhappy about it, casual fans are going to have a kick out of the Goldberg vs. Lesnar match. The WWE always go for the big match since they care about making a lot of money.
