The Cleveland Browns made one of the best trades in NFL history on Thursday that could change how teams approach the market. The Browns are also equipped to acquire quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo from the New England Patriots.

The Browns are not known for being the best franchise in sports but they made a great move on Thursday when they acquired Brock Osweiler from the Houston Texans. According to Yahoo! Sports, the Browns traded their 2017 fourth-round pick to Houston in exchange for Osweiler, a 2017 sixth-round pick and a 2018 second-round pick.

It is a smart move for Cleveland since they gave up a fourth round pick for two draft picks and a potential starting quarterback. The Browns have the money to absorb Osweiler's $16 million salary while also building the future with the two draft picks adding to their already impressive haul.

The Browns now have 11 picks each for the 2017 and 2018 NFL Draft. More importantly, they could use the picks to acquire another quarterback could finally help the team get out of its misery - Jimmy Garoppolo of the Patriots.

Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com reported that the Browns are very interested in acquiring Jimmy Garoppolo to be the team's starting quarterback next season. They are rumored to be willing to part ways with the No. 12 overall pick in this year's draft and a second-round pick next year.

Among the Browns' prized draft picks include two first-round and two second-round picks this year and three second-round picks in 2018. However, Cabot noted that New England might want the first overall pick in this year's draft for Jimmy Garoppolo.

The Browns are surely not going to do that since Myles Garrett is franchise cornerstone that can turn the team's fortune. It should also be noted that Jimmy Garoppolo will be a free agent at the end of the season and he will look to sign a contract extension whether in Cleveland or New England.
