The opening day of NFL's official negotiation period had a lot of medium-sized moves, there were speculations about big moves and precious little entertainment for the NFL fans to have with just 48 hours remaining before the new league year starts.

Meanwhile, Washington Redskins general manager Scot McCloughan was not there at the team facility a week after not travelling with the team to the NFL scouting combine. When asked about the current situation of McCloughan, Redskins' spokesman said they are busy with the free agency right now.

On Tuesday, it was reported that McCloughan's future with the Redskins is in jeopardy, just two years after he arrived with outstanding bonafides in order to bring stability to the front office. This news comes as a shock and highlights the promise that this is going to be frenetic offseason in change for the Redskins. DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon are also expected to leave the team via NFL free agency.

Kirk Cousins may well get traded to San Francisco too. The Redskins are in trouble and have much at stake in football as many other teams but it seems McCloughan will no longer be involved in any of the team's activities.

We have other whispers flying around the NFL free agency which includes Los Angeles not paying cornerback Trumaine Johnson $16.7million this season at all. Reports also suggest that Rams are also keen in listening offers for Johnson to trade.

On the other hand, it will be a huge surprise if DeSean Jackson doesn't land with the Tampa Bay Buccanneers. It is reported that the Buccaneers are strongly pushing for Jackson, confirming what has been quite an open secret in the NFL from the past week.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals have signed Jermaine Gresham to a four-year contract after two under the radar seasons with the team. There are more to come from the NFL free agency, with many teams still to finish some unfinished business. But, by far the Redskins are the most uncertain team at the moment with their problem with general manager McCloughan.
