The GT3 edition is making a comeback. Back in 2014, the German automobile has made headlines by introducing the fast-shifting PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission brand only.

Apparently, the track-subjected approach does not sit well with drivers who want more control at the helm. As of late, the 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 unit is in the lime light with a manual transmission to boot.

While style is still an essential aspect of any vehicle, the Stuttgart-based automaker is also leaning towards something beyond a trendy design. It is looking to improve the performance of its product off the platform.

The 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 features an enhanced variation. This means that its engine, aerodynamics and engine components have been upgraded.

According to Andreas Preuninger, chief of Porsche's GT division, the new vehicle is looking for a new perspective. Instead, it is leaning on unraveling a highly-effective machine on the road.

A 4-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine has been installed under the hood of the 2018 Porsche 911 GT3. It unleashes 494hp at 8,250rpm to go with 339 pound-feet of torque at 6,000rpm.

One vital element of the 911 GT3 is its capability to reduce internal abrasion. A new crankshaft with bigger main bearings plus an improved oiling process have also been integrated into the car system.

Aside from an upgraded valve train that somewhat replaces the hydraulic lifters, a new transitory intake manifold made to increase low-end and mid-range torque is also in place.

Meanwhile, a couple of ram air scoops on the carbon fiber engine keep the funnel air straight into the intake system. The high-pressure airflow output will unload at least 10hp more than the yield of the static dyno.

In terms of build, the 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 automobile has modified its suspension to make the car lighter. With a redesigned front frame plus helper springs all over, bumps on road are easily managed.

Aside from a solidly-modified calibration, stronger bushings in front of the wishbones have also been instituted. The damper valve procedure has been altered to make the vehicle tread on rough roads smoothly.
