Le'Veon Bell will be the highest paid NFL running back next season. With the franchise tag given to him by the Pittsburgh Steelers, Bell's next annual salary will be close to the $12million mark. The Steelers and Le'Veon is said to be in negotiations for a long-term deal.

According to NBCSports, the next Pittsburgh Steelers Le'Veon Bell deal could easily make him the highest-paid tailback in NFL. This is because Steelers has awarded Bell with the exclusive franchise tag worth $12.11 million.

With a $167 million salary cap next season, the Steelers can opt to give Le'Veon $12 million and still get some quality prayers from free agency or trade. This does not, however, mean that the rest of the running back field will also be getting the same or close to that amount.

The exclusive franchise tag given by the Pittsburgh Steelers to Le'Veon Bell guarantees that the running back's salary for the next NFL season will be within that range. However, for other running backs, the salary may just be within the normal $8 million mark.

The exclusive franchise tag and a $12million pay for the next NFL season is an acceptable price for the Pittsburgh Steelers to dish out for the services of Le'Veon Bell. The running back has averaged 157 total yards per game last year, setting the franchise record for the category.

The confident running back even claimed that the Pittsburgh Steelers could have won the AFC cup against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots if he was not injured. According to ESPN, though he couldn't do much to stop Tom Brady, Bell could have sparked the Steelers' offense.

With Le'Veon Bell healthy and Antonio Brown recently agreeing to a contract extension, the Pittsburgh Steelers' chance at a Super Bowl is higher. Le'Veon Bell believes that the 2017 Steelers have what it takes to contend for a Super Bowl.
