The seven-time Formula One Champion's condition is still kept in the dark, as Michael Schumacher's family decided to keep the matters private. One reasons why the family decided to do so was to keep fans from having false hopes about his physical recovery.
Lately, the German magazine Bunte was brought to court by Shumacher's family because they claimed that the World Champion was able to walk again. Felix Damm, the lawyer of Schumacher's family, said that Bunte's claim is false, and that they invaded Michael Schumacher's privacy by declaring a wrong detail about his condition. The family filed an £85000 lawsuit against the magazine, Daily Star reports.
According to Sabine Kehm, Michael Schumacher's agent, said, "We are forced by a recent press report to clarify that the assertion that Michael could move again is not true. Such speculation is irresponsible, because given the seriousness of his injuries, his privacy is very important." She also said that it gives "false hopes to many involved people."
She also said that Michael Schumacher has always been protective of his privacy, given that such a big person would have to make a line between career and family. So she believes that the family's decision to keep things private from public knowledge is the best thing to do.
Currently, Michael Schumacher has a large medical team working in private on his estate at Geneva, Switzerland. But there is one person who feels neglected because he wasn't able to learn the real condition of famed driver - Willi Weber.
Webber is the former manager of Michael Schumacher who guided the Formula One world champion to seven titles for 20 years. Despite such close relationship with him, he was among those people who was kept in the dark regarding the real condition of the athlete. He believes that the family might be "afraid" that he will disclose something to the public regarding Michael Schumacher's condition, which he claims he would never do, Stuff reported.
