When the Golden State Warriors faced the Philadelphia 76ers, the best team in the league were lucky to escape with a victory. The Warriors had an uncharacteristic off night shooting the ball from the three-point line. Steph Curry, one of the NBA best shooters had an explanation for his team's performance.

Following their 119-108 victory over the 76ers Steph Curry, reporters asked the sharpshooter about the team's bad shooting. Curry mentioned that there was a low-pressure system coming to the area according to the weather report that day. He said that he wasn't able to adjust his shooting to the thickness in the air according to NBC.

Obviously, Steph Curry's statement isn't supposed to be taken seriously. But it might be the best explanation for the Warriors' bad shooting night.

The Warriors is the NBA's best offensive team that has three premier shooters in Steph Curry, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson. A player even with the caliber of the Warriors three shooters is bound to have an off night shooting. But with three shooters in the same team, it is highly unlikely that all of them would have an off night.

But that was the case when they faced the lowly 76ers which led to a surprisingly close match. The team shot a combined 6-of-29 from the three point area with the trio of Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant and Draymond Green going for a combined 5-of-20. Curry had the worst shooting night of his career with a 0-of-11 three point shooting clip.

It wasn't that the 76'ers played good defense and made it difficult for the Warriors to shoot threes but rather it was a case of bad luck according to CSN. The Warriors including Steph Curry had a lot of open shots that they simply failed to convert.

Meanwhile, the Warriors coach Steve Kerr didn't have any problems with Steph Curry missing all those shots. He says Curry has an innate confidence that his next shot will be successful. It's that confidence which made Curry shoot all those threes despite missing everything.
