2018 Nissan GT-R: Sixth Generation Nismo GT3 Expected To Be A Powerful Racing Car

The Japanese car manufacturer, Nissan has declared that the 2018 GT-R Nismo GT3 will be based on sixth-generation and can be developed into a hybrid model. Moreover, the supercar will be primarily based upon the R35 model.

As reported by Sports Car 365, "the 2018 Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 will be more diversified enough to enter the European market," said NISMO President and CEO Takao Katagiri. While the improvement drivers, Masataka Yanagida and Michael Krumm, are resting out the progressions made to the model in both Europe and Japan.

A new Nissan GT-R can be developed for the 2018 international GT3 spec. It is also anticipated to finish developing in time for the PWC race at Long Beach by skipping the season opener at Petersburg. Moreover, the developments were speculated to include the model being transformed into a hybrid.

According to Auto Guide, Nissan will support various customer racing programs this year. In fact, they will participate in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup in the Pro Class, the Super GT GT300 class, and in the Taikyu Series ST-X.

Currently, the engines of Nissan Nismo model are powered by a V6 turbocharged 3.0-Liter engine that is capable of giving 600 horsepower. However, it has 193 mph and it gets from 0-60 in 3.2 seconds. And the upcoming 2018 Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 may be capable of giving 700 horsepower and might accelerate from 3.2 to 2.8 seconds.

In terms of safety, Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 will have Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, rear cross-traffic monitor, rear camera, auto parking, Forward Collision Warning, Collision Mitigation Braking System, and Blind Sport Assist, etc.

The 2018 Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 is presently being developed and will likely end up as a hybrid model. But, there is no official news, except rumors that the hybrid model may debut sometime in 2018. The Nissan GT-R NISMO price may be increased by 50% compared to 2017 base model edition.
