Nissan is proud to announce that their new Ambassador for Electric vehicle and Intelligent mobility is the Australian actress Margot Robbie. The "Suicide Squad" star was put through the racing the BladeGlider at Monaco.

The BladeGlider is a 100% electric vehicle epitomizing for an innovation and represents Nissan's commitment to zero emission vehicles in future. It has been trending that automakers hire actresses and celebrities to be their brand ambassadors. Nissan is aiming to captivate the audience by hiring Margot Robbie. This apparently is a big decision by the company and it can reap rich rewards.

Robbie is known for depicting the iconic Harley Quinn of the Suicide Squad. She also has a part in "The Wolf of Wall Street," a drama film and a biography of famous Leanardo DiCaprio. The latest Nissan commercial sees Robbie kicking off things by taking the wheel of the high-performance, all-electric BladeGlider without special effects or a pro-driver on a street circuit in Monaco.

In fact, Robbie was a joy to watch taking the 270 hp three-seater car through the famous tunnel in Monaco. She was challenged by another BladeGlider and showed great excitement with the all-electric supercar. According to a report by Carbuzz, the commercial was tagged as a mini-movie by Nissan, they could probably score a part 2 with Margot Robbie again. This might just be the next trend on adding commercials with their ambassadors.

It's a great time for electric vehicles, more people are choosing to buy electric vehicles, stated by Robbie in an interview. She added saying this will lead to sustainable future and the Nissan BladeGlider hints at the future of smart performance cars.

The Nissan BladeGlider can perform 0-62 MPH in less than five seconds, it is on way to Geneva Motor Show scheduled on the 7th of March. This BladeGlider concept was presented back in 2013 and have earned praises from different critiques. Unfortunately, Margot Robbie won't be a part of BladeGlider presentation in Geneva.
