Alex Rodriguez has more or less said he won't play the game of Baseball again. Rodriguez was at the George M. Steinbrenner Field on Tuesday night, left side being off the field and away from field dirt. Not a guy that we used to see as a player. Finally, he was asked whether he has retired and his reply was yes which gives us the indication he won't come back to play again.

Alex Rodriguez was at the stadium on Tuesday with no glove, just watching the batting practice going on and fungoes flying. He was a man with thoughts rather than practice with a pair of sunglasses and a gig as $21 million guest instructor.

As it turns out, Alex Rodriguez did not wake on any morning of this winter thinking of one more baseball season. He was quite unmoved of how close he is to 700 home runs, so decides to stay at 696 for eternity. Outside the days where he will go out with baseball uniform, the normal days will have uniforms hanging in the hanger and him just a normal person.

It is nothing like Alex Rodriguez have no work to do, the fact he has a curious mind and is a curious soul. So, he would never be a guy spending hours walking around his house testing the moisture levels on his plants. Leaving the game back in August was never his decision, though, if the Steinbrenners had not pulled off the plug, he would have been on the field with a glove and a target to hit.

Alex Rodriguez revealed that he got calls on Tuesday from few teams asking whether he would like to continue his career playing baseball, this surprised him for two distinct reasons - the first being he wondered how these teams got his number and secondly how the teams knew he hit 200 last season.

Instead of playing, Alex Rodriguez wished to honor the decision made by Hal Steinbrenner to celebrate him on the rainy Friday night back in August and to have him as an occasional instructor cum life coach going forward.
