Bad news for 'Grand Theft Auto 6' fans and enthusiasts as they have to wait a little longer. The release date for the said game might delay for few more years as Rockstar Games are still busy developing one of their upcoming games this year.

The Grand Theft Auto game is an action-adventure video game series developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games and one of the most successful video game today. With the first installment released in 1997, the game has already expanded to different sequels going to the 20th year of the game.

And with the recent success of 'Grand Theft Auto V', many GTA fans already crave and request for another chapter of the game. Earlier reports revealed that the next sequel of the GTA series, the 'Grand Theft Auto 6', are already in the works and rumored to be released by 2018. However, recent development disclosed that the release might hold up for 3 more years.

According to Tech Radar, the recent announcement of 'Red Dead Redemption 2' release by fall this year, might have been the reason for the delayed launch of 'Grand Theft Auto 6' next year. Now, Rockstar Games might have to postpone the release of 'GTA 6' by 2020.

Aside from the 'RDR2' game, one factor why the 'Grand Theft Auto 6' is not a priority is because of the ongoing regular content updates of the GTA Online feature which supports the 'Grand Theft Auto V'. It makes sense for gamers to wait, for this feature might also carry to the 'GTA 6'.

The report also says that there are new elements that were added to the game like the virtual reality support which is still doubtful for now. Reports also spread that time traveling could be a major part of the game but still, this is also skeptical. Lastly, gamers could choose if they want to play a cop or a criminal which is a big possibility to add new flavor to its story line.

On the separate report by IGN, the location map is also a crucial part of the Grand Theft Auto games and it appears that Rockstar Games is said to be planning on introducing the whole United States as new stage for the 'Grand Theft Auto 6'. Though it looks like that this is a far-fetched idea, game developers nowadays will still find a way to make it happen in this new era of the game console. Is teleportation now realistic to the game?
