Apple Inc. has something new in store for their MacBook Pro consumers. It recently revealed the latest update on its processor that will surely make end user of the device something to watch out for.

The MacBook Pro was first introduced by Apple in January 2006 replacing the PowerBook G4. It was the second model that was released during the Intel-Apple transition, the first was the iMac. Throughout the years, Apple developed the device and became the sophisticated model of the MacBook family.

Currently, the MacBook Pro is available in a 13-inch and 15-inch display dimension. The first generation of it used an Intel Core 2 Duo processors while second and third iteration uses an Intel i5 and i7 processors. Now that the device is already in its fourth generation, it transitioned its processor into a Skylake Intel Core i7.

Latest news now disclosed that another shift on its processor is going to happen. According to Forbes, the new MacBook Pro that will be manufactured this year will have an Intel's Kaby Lake processor, one the biggest changes on its feature.

Since last year, the device has undergone some significant upgrades on its design and now on its chipset. Up until now, all new MacBook Pro still sports the older Intel's Skylake processor and it appears that the change to Kaby Lake not a major improvement at all.

According to tech experts, there is no big difference between the Kaby Lake XPS 13 and Dell's Skylake XPS 13 but they expect that the Kaby Lake models will increase the performance of the solid-state drive (SSD) as per stated in the report.

There is also rumors that Apple might release the next-generation MacBook Pro model after the presentation of MacOS 10.12.4 updates. One KGI analyst also revealed just recently that the Kaby Lake MacBook Pros will be in mass production by the third quarter of this year.

Science Times also divulged information that the launch of MacBook Pro this year could be the end of the Apple-Intel partnership. There is a notion that Apple will manufacture its own processors that will integrate its own innovation as per the report also cited.
