Tonight at 9:00 p.m. ET, the Dallas Stars (9-7-2, 20 points) and the Calgary Flames (6-9-3, 15 points) go head-to-head live from the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary for the second of three meetings this season. The game can be live streamed here. Dallas fans can hear all of the bone-crunching action by turning their dials to Sportsradio 1310 The Ticket while Calgary fans can do the same on CFAC Sportsnet 960.

Dallas enters their second game in as many nights in the middle of a three-game road trip while Calgary enters their second game of a three-game homestand. In the first meeting between these two teams, the Stars topped the Flames 5-1 on Oct. 24 in Dallas.

The Stars won a hard-fought game Wednesday night by defeating the Edmonton Oilers at Rexall Place by a 3-0 margin in which the score is deceiving because Dallas scored two empty-net goals.

"Obviously I've seen some great goaltenders with Timmy [Thomas] in Boston and followed up with Tuukks [Tuukka Rask] last year, and he's right up there, if not even better with his consistency," Stars forward Tyler Seguin said of Kari Lehtonen after the shutout win per NHL.com. "Every night, he's making huge saves for us. We rely a lot on him, but we've got to take some pressure off him."

Lehtonen is 8-3-2 with a 2.01 goals-against average and a .932 save percentage while Seguin leads the team with 17 points off of a team-high eight goals and nine assists. Lehtonen may sit with tonight being the team's second game of a back-to-back. Along with Seguin, captain Jamie Benn has been solid for the Stars, putting together six goals and 10 assists for 16 points while Alex Chiasson has five tallies and six helpers for 11 points.

The Flames lost to the San Jose Sharks 3-2 in overtime Tuesday and lost their fourth straight game. While it was a rough loss, the team was ready to move on to the game against Dallas.

"That's the beauty of the NHL, 82-game schedule," Flames coach Bob Hartley said Wednesday via NHL.com. "You can't sleep on good performances or bad performances too long. We have a new partner the next day and tomorrow we have Dallas, a team that is playing very well. There's no easy opponent in this conference."

Jiri Hudler has paved the way for Calgary with six goals and 13 assists for 19 points while Sean Monahan has lit the lamp seven times and added five helpers for 12 points and Mike Cammalleri has five goals in as many games for a season total of eight goals and three assists for 11 points.

In the crease, Joey MacDonald and Karri Ramo have each started seven games for the Flames, with MacDonald putting together a 3-3-1 record along with a 3.17 GAA and a .885 save percentage while Ramo has posted a 2-4-1 record with a 3.43 GAA and a .887 save percentage.

The Stars look for a win in their second game on a three-game road trip while the Flames hope for a victory on their second game of a three-game homestand when these two teams hit the ice in Calgary tonight.
