Looks like fans of "Pretty Woman" star Julia Roberts would have to wait a little longer before they see her on the big screen. The new movie of Julia Roberts has apparently been pushed back for a later release date.

"Wonder", Julia Roberts' latest film, will make its screen debut on theaters just before Thanksgiving Day, according to a report from Variety. Lionsgate, the studio behind the film, announced on Monday that they pushed the release date of "Wonder" to Nov. 17, 2017 instead of the original planned release date on April 7, 2017.

According to Lionsgate, the decision to move Julia Roberts' "Wonder" was based on the strong and positive test screening they got from audiences, most specifically those with families. With the new release date, Lionsgate believes that "Wonder" would be more commercially successful partly because the Nov. 17 slot is considered to be a family-friendly slot.

If Julia Roberts' "Wonder" were to be released on its original release date this April, the film would be up against "The Case for Christ", a faith-based drama; "Going in Style", a comedy starring Alan Arkin and Morgan Freeman; and "Smurfs: The Lost Village", which also stars Julia Roberts as the voice of Smurfwillow, one of the new characters in the film. With a Nov. 17 released date, "Wonder" would instead be released on the same weekend as the blockbuster heavyweight "Justice League", which is a movie that brings together Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and Aquaman. Thanksgiving is on the following week, which is considered one of the busiest times of the year among movie-goers.

"Wonder" is a drama film that stars Julia Roberts as a supportive mother to his son who has facial deformities. "Wonder" is an adaptation of R.J. Palacio's best-selling book. Jacob Tremblay stars as August Pullman, the boy with facial deformities.

Julia Roberts signed to play the part of August Pullman's mother in May of last year, via a report from The Hollywood Reporter. The cast also includes Owen Wilson, Mandy Patinkin, and Daveed Diggs. "Wonder" would be directed by Stephen Chbosky, the man responsible for writing and directing the critically-acclaimed "The Perks of Being a Wallflower".
