Marvel has clearly hyped up Thanos right after he appeared in "Avenger: Infinity War". However, reports suggest that Thanos won't be featured in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2".

This is after major criticisms point out that he wasn't really that fun-of-a-character. According to Digital Spy, James Gunn, the movie's director, says that the movie will instead be about the two sisters. He means that the storyline will revolve around Gamora and Nebula.

The two sisters are said to be spending time with each other, as they deepen their relationship even more. Gunn then adds that the storyline isn't really made for Thanos. He also states that he wasn't inspired to put the character into the movie.

It is pretty clear that director Gunn just wanted to trust his instincts because he wasn't really entertained when he showed up in the last movie. Thanos also got nothing to do with the relationship between the two sisters.

According to LRM Online, inserting Thanos in the movie's storyline would surely just mess things up. So it's better for him to just not have anything to do with that character. During the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, way back in 2014, Thanos proved not have a very big impact in the movie.

Hopefully, the movie's plot doesn't seem lacking or hollow because of the absence of one character. There's a huge likelihood that this won't be the case. It just showed that Gamora and Nebula are his adopted daughters.

Surely, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" will be one of this year's biggest films, if not the biggest film. The movie will get an April 2017 premiere in the UK, while it will have a later premiere night on May 5, 2017, in the U.S.
