It's been 13 years from now since Mark Zuckerberg started Facebook for the first time. Now, on its 13th birthday, Facebook had a lot to offer to its members and celebrate the occasion in a new way.

According to the Mirror, Facebook named the celebration of its 13th birthday as "Friends Day" and created "Friends Day Videos" for all its 1.86B users. The video simply showed a dancing figure which is made up of small pictures of the user's friend.

"Through friendship, our world grows more connected, powerful things can happen, and lives and communities can be changed. Today, connecting is more important than ever," the statement given by Facebook on the occasion.

Tech Times reported that there was an event hosted by Facebook at its headquarters located in Menlo Park, California. In the event, members who have been using "Groups" for connecting with friends shared their experience and expressed their views on how technology helped people and made an easy way for building true global communities.

New GIF's have also been launched regarding the "Friends Day" theme which can be shared on Facebook Messenger. These GIF's highlight the theme of friendship and can be used in any conversation with any of the friends in the friend list.

In a blog post, Facebook's Project Manager Oren Hod mentioned that sharing these "Friends Day" videos will be helping in sparking a conversation with a friend, whose pic is mentioned in the Friends Day video.

Facebook keeps videos content nowadays as its first preference when introducing new features in the site for any occasion. A lot of things are changing from time to time on Facebook but one thing is going to remain the same for all the users of Facebook, i.e. chatting and connecting with friends using this social media site. The new features which were launched on the 13th birthday of Facebook were launched to encourage the users for having a conversation with their friends.
