Reports indicate that the following was taped on Tuesday from Manchester, England for the episode of WWE SmackDown set to air this Friday, Nov. 15. This week's SmackDown will air just nine nights before the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view that takes place on Sunday, Nov. 24 and emanates from the TD Garden in Boston.
In the main event of the evening, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan teamed up to take on Ryback and Curtis Axel, but the match ended in a no contest after the Wyatt family ran down and attacked Punk and Bryan while Bryan had the Yes Lock on Ryback.
The lights then went out and when they came back on Bryan and Punk were nowhere to be found. Ryback then pushed Axel into the Wyatt family and they beat Ryback and Axel down until Punk and Bryan emerged from under the ring and laid out Erick Rowan and Luke Harper. The show went off the air with Bryan and Punk celebrating while the Wyatts retreated up the ramp.
Ryback and Axel were also involved in a backstage segment where Ryback said he didn't want to team with Axel if he was still a Paul Heyman guy, but Axel said that he wasn't. The Wyatt family also appeared in the opening match of the evening, as Rowan and Harper defeated The Usos. Bray Wyatt hit Sister Abigail on The Usos after the match.
In a segment involving John Cena and Alberto Del Rio, the two were pitted together in an arm wrestling match. Cena spoke about their upcoming match at Survivor Series and ended up winning two out of the three falls in the arm wrestling match. At the end of the contest, Del Rio attacked Cena and tossed him through the table.
In other action, R-Truth and The Prime Time Players, who had a rapping segment earlier in the night, defeated 3MB in a six-man tag match while The Great Khali defeated Hunico and Camacho in a handicap match. In Divas action, Cameron and Naomi defeated The Bella Twins after Cameron got the pin on Brie and Natalya defeated Tamina by submission after Tamina and A.J. Lee accidentally got entangled on the apron.
SmackDown focused mostly on building up the Punk and Bryan feud with the Wyatts, leading up to a tag team match between Punk and Bryan vs. Rowan and Harper as well as furthering the storyline between Cena and Del Rio as the show keeps on building towards Survivor Series Nov. 24.
