Xiaomi, the Chinese tech giant is working on another variant of last year's Redmi Pro smartphone, which is dubbed as Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2. The details of alleged Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 smartphone have been leaked by a Weibo user (@KJuma).

The image which is being surfaced on the Chinese social media site Weibo indicates that the upcoming Redmi Pro 2 will come with improvements over its predecessor.

According to GSM Arena, Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 is leaked with the below-mentioned specs and features-

Display: Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 is rumored to be sporting a 5.5 inch LTPS AMOLED display having 1080x1920pixels accounting to 401ppi.

Processor and Storage: The smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage options. Also, the phone will have an option of expanding storage via microSD card up to 256GB.

Camera: The Redmi Pro 2 said to sport a 12-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX362 sensor featuring phase detection, autofocus, dual-LED, geo-tagging, touch focus and HDR support.

OS and Battery: The Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 will apparently be powered by a massive 4,500mAh battery and is reported to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.

Other Features: Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 is reported to feature Wi-Fi direct hotspot, USB Type-C port, fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass sensors.

According to Android Headlines, it is reported that Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 will come in two variants depending on Ram and storage combination. The base version of 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage will have a price tag of $230 and more premium model incorporated with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will have a price tag of $260.
