Tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET, the Columbus Blue Jackets (6-10-0, 12 points) and Washington Capitals (9-8-1, 19 points) go head-to-head live from the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. in the second of four meetings this season. The game can be live streamed here. Columbus fans can hear all of the hard-hitting action on Sportsradio 97.1 The Fan while Washington fans can do the same on WFED 1500 AM.

Washington has won four games in a row at the Verizon Center while Columbus is in search of its first win since Oct. 10. The last time these two teams faced off, Washington beat Columbus 4-1 at home on Oct. 19.

The Capitals are coming in off of a 4-1 defeat at the hands of the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday.

"We had pretty good chances to score in the third, but we didn't," team captain Alex Ovechkin told NHL.com following the loss.

Ovechkin has 20 points off of 13 goals and seven assists while Niklas Backstrom also has 20 points off of five goals and 15 assists. Mikhail Grabovski (five goals, ten assists) and Marcus Johansson (two goals, 13 assists) each have 15 points for Washington.

The Blue Jackets snapped a five-game skid Saturday with a 5-2 win over the New York Islanders on Saturday that saw the line of Brandon Dubinsky, Cam Atkinson and Ryan Johansen combine for seven points.

"I think we were just working off each other. We were getting in on the forecheck hard. As soon as we do that, it seemed like they were turning pucks over and we capitalized on our opportunities," Atkinson said after the game, according to NHL.com.

Dubinsky (four goals, nine assists) and James Wisniewski (two goals, 11 assists) lead Columbus with 13 points each while Johansen and Marian Gaborik each have five tallies and six helpers for 11 points.

In the crease, reigning Vezina Trophy winner Sergei Bobrovsky has started 13 of 17 games for Columbus and has put together a 5-8-0 record along with a 2.75 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage while Braden Holtby has started 14 of 20 games between the pipes for Washington, putting together a 7-6-0 mark with a 2.71 GAA and a .922 save percentage.

Washington will look to continue its home dominance while Columbus hopes to avoid another road setback when the lights come on at Verizon Center tonight.
