Ricky Rubio, a point guard of Minnesota Timberwolves, missed Sunday's game against the Denver Nuggets for personal reasons.

Rubio has left the team on Friday for personal reasons and won't rejoin the Wolves until late Sunday or Monday, Coach Tom Thibodeau said Saturday after practice. Rubio needed to return home to Spain and his brother posted on Instagram that their grandma had passed away.

According to Realgm report, Rubio did not play in the second half against the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday as a result of snugness in his left hip, yet Thibodeau said Saturday that was not a worry going ahead.

Kris Dunn and Tyus Jones filled in commendably, helping the Wolves overcome the Clippers, 104-101. Rubio said after the diversion he was not worried about the injury, however, it interrupted a noteworthy keep running for the pass-first point guard.
