Previously, we had a chance to look at LG's Music Flow Speaker System when it was launched back in 2015, the system aimed to compete with the likes of Sonos and other companies, but a mix of sync issues and lack of certain specific features made it look like the company had a long way to go until it hits the market.

But, the company has responded well as on Thursday, an LG employee announced in a post that only was the company in agreement to add Chromecast multiroom audio to the Music Flow line, but they are also planning to integrate the Google Home to the system.

An LG staff said they have prepared Google Multiroom functionality. During the preparation of that, they also discussed with the Google team about the link with Google Home function and the decision to update two major functionalities, 'Google Multiroom' and 'Link with Google Home device' at the same time were made.

While the Google Home is fairly new to the scene, Chromecast wireless multiroom audio has been made possible since the launch of the Chromecast Audio. The question earlier was why did LG not bring this feature to its Music Flow system isn't clear, but considering the issues that were encountered during out time with the system, its possibe that the company wanted to focus on one multiroom technology at a time.

Having more speakers available in a multiroom setup is deifnitely a very nice thing, but the addition of Google Home support is the more exciting of the two new features. Once this feature arrives, it will enable voice control of playback, volume and other features, making playing favourite music throughout your entire home can be as easy as words.

Meanwhile, there is not exact time on when exactly these new features will be coming but according to a LG staff wrote that a software update bringing both Google Home and Chromecast Audio support is expected to be released before the end of February.
