Till now there is no official teaser trailer launched of the most awaited Star Wars movie, 'Star Wars: Episode 8'. Fans are eagerly waiting for that because it was expected to release sometime in January starting.

Not only trailer but the name of the movie is also not released yet. Star Wars followers are expecting one of them to be released soon. 'Star Wars: Episode 8' will release in December 2017. Last year, 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' was released on 16 December 2016.

As written in Digital Spy, Episode 8 was first set to release on May 26, 2017, but it is now delayed to December 15, 2017. This new release date has already other high-profile films scheduled like James Cameron's 'Avatar 2' and Stephen Spielberg's 'Ready Player One'.

The shooting of this movie began in February 2016 and it has now wrapped. Lucas film president Kathleen Kennedy has teased a first trailer will premiere in spring 2017. However, she did not reveal the exact date of release.

Fans were expecting the trailer to be released at the end of the 'Rouge One: A Star Wars Story' or at least in a first or second week of January but it has not happened yet.

As the release date of Episode 8 and last year's Star Wars movie is almost same, it might be possible that franchise is trying to follow a pattern. Trailer of 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' was not released until April of last year. And as Kathleen said the trailer of this episode will be launched in spring this year, indicates the same.

It is written in the Movie News Guide that there might be a possibility that franchise does not want to affect the last movie's box office collection. 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' is doing very well and the makers would not like to lower the excitement of fans.

Currently, 'Star Wars: Episode 8' is in post-production stage and fans are hoping to get a trailer soon. Unfortunately, Star Wars lovers will have to wait some more to see the trailer for the next movie.
