The Indiana Pacers are the only unbeaten team in the young NBA season, and at 6-0 last year's Eastern Conference finals losers are solidifying its claim as the most likely challenger to the Miami Heat.

The Pacers are led by Paul George, a shooting guard with tremendous offensive and defensive prowess and Roy Hibbert, who at 7'2 is the anchor of a pesky defense. Hibbert has made it clear he wants to win the Defensive Player of the Year award at the end of the season, even tweeting about it.

After beating the Chicago Bulls, 97-80 on November 6, Hibbert tweeted "DPoY" which stands for the said award. Moments later, he tweeted again in defense of his earlier tweet: "People act like I can't have individual goals. I didn't talk about it in the past. Well now I am. I WANT DPoY. That's gonna help my team win."

In 2013, he came in a far 10th place in the voting. A visibly frustrated Hibbert dissed reporters for not paying close attention to his game and saying the reporters did not watch enough Pacers games.

Hibbert is making a good case for himself. The Pacers are one of the best defensive teams and being the anchor, he gets a lot of credit for it. Indiana is allowing just 76.6 points per 100 possessions when the giant is on the floor.

More impressively, Hibbert is leading the league in blocks averaging an outstanding 4.7 rejections a game. His intimidating presence inside is one of the reasons why the Pacers are on top of the standings.
