It's officially the All-Star break, which for Major League Baseball means it's time for the annual Home Run Derby.

This year's long ball contest will emanate live from Petco Park in San Diego as five National League and three American League sluggers go head-to-head in a bracket style tournament. Six of these eight home run hitters will partake in Tuesday's All-Star Game as well.

The seeding was established by the amount of homers each player had as of last Wednesday. Mark Trumbo had the most, so he's the top seed, while Corey Seager had the least, making him the eighth. On their side of he bracket, No. 4 Robinson Cano will do battle with No. 5 Giancarlo Stanton and the two winners will meet in the semifinals.

Headlining the other side of the bracket is a matchup between No. 2 seed Todd Frazier and No. 7 Carlos Gonzalez. On that same side, No. 3 Adam Duvall will clash with No. 6 Wil Myers. The winner of both meetings with then meet in the semifinals and whoever emerges victorious from there will take on the winner of the Trumbo bracket in the finals.

Frazier is the only person among this field who has won the Derby before and he'll look to do so for the second straight year. The White Sox third baseman won in Cincinnati last year when he was a member of the Reds, meaning the hometown hero got the win in front of his fans.

With the event taking place at Petco Park in San Diego this year, Myers will look to replicate that feat as the lone Derby representative of the Padres.

Trumbo (28) has the most homers this year among anyone in the running, followed by Frazier (23), Duvall (22), Cano (20), Stanton (19), Myers (19), Gonzalez (18) and Seager (17).
