Being cut from the Bears, clubbing and having problems with drugs and alcohol, a domestic violence case against him and two agents firing him. The past few months have somehow gotten even worse for Johnny Manziel.
The next layer of drama: The former quarterback is getting sued.
Johnny Football was at a club (where else?) on Wednesday when he was served with legal papers, according to TMZ Sports. Manziel is being sued by the owner of a home in Hollywood he rented earlier this year where he threw an alcohol and drugs-fueled party, allegedly causing over $32,000 worth of damages.
Real estate broker Nicholas Goodwin rented the home to Manziel and his pals back in April and his lawyer, Niki Ghazian, provided details of the rampant drug use at the home.
"Mr. Manziel threw large parties on both nights, causing extensive damage," the lawyer said per Page Six. "Evidence suggests [Manziel] and his guests were consuming drugs and alcohol and that they caused a disturbance to the neighborhood."
The former Heisman Trophy winner didn't have his night ruined by the papers as he moved onto another club, partied it up and walked out with a beautiful woman, TMZ reports.
Manziel is reportedly still interested in pursuing an NFL career, but he continues to damage his chances with his self-destructive behavior. The former signal caller is unlikely to find an NFL team willing to take a risk on him at this stage.
After checking himself into rehab prior to last season, Manziel has been out of control, and it's already cost him his job with the Browns and two agents.
Despite all of his well-known problems, he was very publicly spotted "wasted and chain smoking" at Coachella as he continued to struggle to stay away from the party scene
Manziel was also recently indicted by a Dallas jury for an alleged physical altercation with his ex-girlfriend, model Colleen Crowley. The blonde beauty revealed Manziel hit her so hard that she lost hearing in her left ear.
Despite the issues and plenty of his friends and family being concerned for his well-being, Manziel insists he has the support of all his loved ones.
"My friends and family are alright," Manziel told TMZ Sports last month. "They're with me."
