Tebowmania is returning to a television near you -- but not on the gridiron.

Tim Tebow has landed a new gig as the host of a television show, but it won't have anything to do with football. The former Heisman Trophy winner is used to being on television through his years playing football and his work as an analyst on "SEC Nation."

Now, Tebow will host the show "Home Free," which debuts on the Fox Network on June 16.

In the program, 11 contestants will vie for a free house for a person who is a personal hero to them. Tebow recently talked about landing the gig.

"Every single one of them will get a home," Tebow told Fox31 of the heroes. "You understand that each of them are playing for their personal heroes who have done amazing things. One of our contestants was a war hero in Afghanistan and got blown up and the man he's playing for was the person who came back in battle and picked him up and carried him off the battle field and saved his life. Another one of our contestants is playing for a woman who randomly donated her kidney to his father when he was on dialysis ...They really are real life heroes and they deserve to be celebrated."

The show is entering its second season and in Season 1, couples competed to land their dream home and split into two teams in charge of renovating the homes. The teams were then judged by home improvement and real estate experts for quality, creativity and teamwork on the build.

Tebow, who will co-host with Season 1 host Mike Holmes, said the competition will display many characteristics of the contestants.

"This show is filled with skill, will, strategy, competitiveness, heart, so many amazing things," Tebow said. "But I think the best thing that it's bigger than the contestants. They're playing for something bigger than themselves and I think that's pretty important. Just the selflessness of people to be able to change lives is pretty awesome."

Tebow is still looking to keep his dream alive of playing in the NFL. He was a playoff hero through one round for the Broncos in 2011, but was eventually traded to the Jets where he held a limited role. He then had short stints with the Patriots and Eagles, but never made it to the regular season with them.

Philadelphia cut Tebow last September, and he hasn't been able to land an NFL gig since. Still, he is determined to return to the gridiron down the line. After getting waived, Tebow graciously thanked the Eagles for the chance.

"Thanks @Eagles and Coach Kelly for giving me the opportunity to play the game I love!" Tebow tweeted. "Romans 8:28 #Blessed."
