It's been three games into the regular season and Chicago Bulls superstar Derrick Rose's return has anything but rosy. On Saturday night, the former league MVP took the blame for the team's surprising 107-104 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers especially with the way he shot the ball poorly and turned the ball eight times including five in the final quarter.

"You can call it whatever you want to call it. I would have to [say] I'm not playing well right now," he said according to ESPN.com. "For me, just continue to go out there and take the shots that they're giving me. I told you, I'm going to wait but I'm going to have that breakthrough game."

After a promising preseason wherein he showed flashes of his old brilliance, Rose is struggling in his first three games that have led to the Bulls dropping two games. Rose shot 4 for 14 against the Sixers and worse, made eight turnovers. In his first three regular season games, he is shooting an anemic 29% from the field.

"If it was up to me, I would blame tonight on me. Turnovers, missed shots, missed communication on defense. I just can't wait to get in my groove. But I can't hang my head; I know I've worked too hard for that, so it's going to come," he continued.

Still, Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau is not blaming his superstar for the Bulls' early struggles but due to injuries that have prevented his starting five from playing together. Aside from Rose, starters Jimmy Butler and Joakim Noah missed several games in the preseason while reserve guard Kirk Hinrich also played sparingly due to concussion.
