Stephen Curry made NBA history, becoming the first player to ever receive a unanimous vote for league MVP, and his wife has taken notice.

The Warriors star won the MVP honors for the second straight season after guiding Golden State to an NBA-best 73 wins.

The announcement comes after Curry, who was dealing with a sprained knee, entered into Game 4 of the Warriors' second-round series against the Trail Blazers and scored a game-high 40 points -- including an NBA record 17 in overtime.

The Warriors went on to win, 132-125, to take a commanding 3-1 series lead back home with them with Game 5 set to tipoff on Wednesday.

The point guard's heroics in the extra frame came after he missed four games due to the injury he sustained in Game 4 of the Warriors' first-round defeat of the Hawks. Golden State toppled Houston in five games last round.

After Curry was announced as the unanimous MVP, his wife, Ayesha Curry, took to Instagram to share a picture of her husband and their daughter, Ryan while heaping praise on him:

Curry led the NBA with 30.1 points and 2.1 steals per game on his way to being crowned MVP and helping the defending NBA champions make history. He continued to put himself on the map Monday with his stunning Game 4 performance after dealing with ankle and knee ailments throughout the postseason.

"I love this game, I love playing and love competing," Curry said after the win, according to NBA.com. "And really, really missed being out there with my teammates. To help our team get a win tonight and in that fashion, that was a good feeling in that moment to be back on the floor and playing."
