Former Ultimate Fighting Championship welterweight superstar Georges St-Pierre sounded like he is ready to return to the Octagon again, as he talked about his preferred opponent in case he decides to end his long hiatus.

St-Pierre, who has not fought since scoring a split decision win over Johny Hendricks in November 2013, said that his goal is to be known as the best fighter of all-time, which is why he is planning the best fighters in the business, and not necessarily those who are holding world titles.

"I would rather be known as the best ever than holding the belt," St-Pierre said via MMA Fighting. "If you're the best and even if you don't have the belt and you're the best, it's more gratifying. The belt is a material thing. It's good. I won it a few times. But I want to fight the best, the biggest name."

St-Pierre recently said that his camp already in serious talks with UFC about a potential comeback fight, but there are still several details to iron out -- like the financial aspect of his contract because of the effect of his current deal with Reebok, which prohibits him from wearing other sponsors inside the Octagon.

The Canadian superstar was recently linked to a possible catchweight fight with UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor, but the latter is at odds with the promotion. Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva also expressed interest in facing St-Pierre in a big-money fight before he retires.

Jon Jones vs Daniel Cormier at UFC 200?

Meanwhile, former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones wants to face Daniel Cormier in a rematch at UFC 200.

Jones and Cormier was supposed to face each other at UFC 197 on Saturday, but the reigning champion was forced to withdraw due to an injury. Jones settled for a showdown with Ovince Saint Preux.

If he wins against OSP on Saturday, Jones said that he is ready to headline UFC 200, which was supposed to feature McGregor's rematch with Nate Diaz before the fight was called off.

"Absolutely," Jones said, when asked if he wants to fight at UFC 200. "I'd totally step in to UFC 200 and fill in that main event."
