Leicester City maintained their lead in the 2015-16 English Premier League title race, keeping fellow contenders Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Manchester City at bay.

Leicester City moved closer to winning the title this season after scoring an impressive 2-0 win against Sunderland on Sunday at Stadium of Light.

The Foxes had a slow start as Sunderland managed to stay toe-to-toe with the league leaders. But after 65 minutes of scoreless action, Jamie Vardy broke the deadlock with a goal in the 66th minute and added another one in extra time en route to the win for Leicester City.

With the victory, the Foxes remained seven points ahead of Tottenham and 13 points clear of Arsenal in the title race. However, Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri said they have no time to relax, as they are facing tough matches at home in the next two weeks.

"The fans must continue to dream but we must continue to be concentrated and focused," Ranieri said via the league's official website. "Now we have two tough matches at home, the Champions League is on the table and we have to keep it. We haven't achieved anything yet."

Tottenham also solidified their grip on the second spot with a 3-0 win over Manchester United, while Arsenal stayed third in the race despite settling for a 3-3 draw with West Ham United on Saturday.

Manchester City also scored a crucial 2-1 win against West Bromwich Albion. They are now four points ahead of Manchester United in the race for fourth after the Red Devils' costly 3-0 loss to Tottenham.
